Lecture title

The challenges and opportunities of digital technologies on dental education.

Session

Although the dental related professions have been flooded by digital technologies and all professionals had to adapt their practices to accommodate the digital transition, dental schools didn’t follow the same pace and remained slower on its adoption.
To be able to catchup, many challenges will raise for dental schools, mainly related to curricular program adjustment, teaching environment transformation and development of professor’s digital competences.
It will also offer great opportunities for collaboration between schools and dental companies, related to educational and research activities that can benefit both, but most of all benefit student’s and the future of dental care treatments for the society.
Let us take a deeper look into the subject and reflect on everyone’s role to be part of the needed digital transformation of dental education.
