The changing landscape of an increasing corporate dentistry

The lecture is focused on looking how dentistry is changing for both labs and clinics and how this impacts the patients. With an increasing growth market of dental technology and yet a tumbling number of technicians to satisfy to that growth, is corporate lab groups the way forward? We have seen huge DSO chains in practices but how does that affect the lab industry and is the future bright or doom and gloom? A reflective look at the current state of our industry and how we labs can adapt and thrive in an ever increasing and changing market place.

Ashley is the associate director of Byrnes Dental Laboratory, a leader in modern dental technology. The lab is also part of Corus, a European leading group of digital dental laboratories across nine countries. Ashley qualified with a BSc(hons) degree in Dental Technology in 2000 and started his own lab with his Dad in 2006. As early pioneers in a new digital way of working, the lab has gone from strength to strength.
